About Troop 15 - Senior Patrol Leaders Message |

| Dear Troop 15 Scouts and Parents, | ||||
|
Welcome to the 2006-07 Scouting year. We are happy to have several new Scouts joining our troop. We welcome them as well as their parents with great excitement and enthusiasm. Also, welcome back to all of the returning Scouts and their parents. Even though we are a boy-led troop, we would be nowhere without all the wonderful adult leaders and parents who help us get things done. Without you, we would not be able to plan, travel, and make our outings so successful. We are happy to welcome Bruce Turner as our new Scoutmaster and Melissa Nelson-Zucker as Committee Chair. We look forward to a productive and exciting year of Scouting. Troop 15 will embark on several interesting, monthly campouts starting next month. These excursions allow Scouts to practice the skills learned at weekly Scout meetings and are always exciting and entertaining. This year we have a new campout planned to go surfing in Santa Cruz, as well as our traditional campouts like Dillon Beach, Angel Island, Snow Camping in the Sierras, the Ski Trip, the Mom’s Campout and Camporee. This year our troop will be divided into three patrols lead by patrol leaders Alex Musbach, Neal Horner and Jack Walters. Our goals for Troop 15 this year are: • Provide all Scouts with the opportunity to advance in rank • Provide leadership experience and training for Scouts • Have merit badges available for Scouts to work on and complete • Have fun as well as efficient meetings • Have an interesting and fun campout once a month • Compete well and hopefully win at the Camporee • Have a successful High Sierra Hike as well as summer camp at Wolfboro • Complete a service project that helps Wildwood School • Recruit new Scouts into the troop • Promote respect as well as wearing our uniform • And of course, HAVE FUN! We look forward to a great year of Scouting in Troop 15. Yours in Scouting,
Taylor Drake Kellan Turner Senior Patrol Leaders |
